WHO WE ARE
House of Empanadas is a Toronto-based empanada company dedicated to crafting authentic Argentine empanadas made by hand, with care, tradition, and bold flavour.
Founded in 2005 by Argentine-born Chef Nicolas Tallarico, House of Empanadas began with a simple goal: to share the empanadas he grew up eating with family and friends back home. Inspired by his mother’s recipes and refined through years of professional cooking, Chef Tallarico created a menu built around flaky, golden pastry and generously filled empanadas made from high-quality ingredients.
Every empanada reflects a respect for tradition, a love of good food, and a commitment to consistency and quality.

ROOTED IN TORONTO
House of Empanadas started at local farmers markets, including Evergreen Brick Works and the Distillery District Sunday Market, where it quickly developed a loyal following. What began as a small vendor booth grew into a trusted name among Toronto food lovers.
Today, House of Empanadas proudly serves the city through takeout, catering, farmers markets, and wholesale partnerships, while remaining true to its handmade roots. Our empanadas are known for their distinctive flavour combinations, blending classic Argentine recipes with subtle Canadian influences.
